Associate—Individuals and organizations who are not otherwise described under the professional, small business, or business categories. Churches and fraternal, civic, and community non-profit entities that do not operate as a business. Professional—Individuals and organizations who provide non-retail services in return for fees. This includes, but is not limited to, accountants, attorneys, doctors, insurance and real estate brokers, and consultants. Small Business—Those with fewer than ten employees who operate businesses where the public can purchase goods or services. Business and Industry—This category includes businesses and industries such as banks, public utilities, resorts, hotels and motels, automobile dealerships, manufacturers, distributors, contractors and builders, and larger corporations.

The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce has six regional councils. Since these councils do not individually solicit dues, the Carbon County Chamber has a dues sharing program that helps to fund local programs. On your application form, you are given the opportunity to establish an affiliation with one or more of these councils and to have one-third of your dues apportioned to the local councils of your choice. This eliminates competition for membership dollars and assures the viability of the local councils.
